We do parades, historical presentations, award numerous scholarships to local graduating seniors, we keep the Buffalo Soldiers legacy alive & we’re committed to youth & community projects

Our hope is to extend public knowledge of the achievements of all the nation’s African American armed forces personnel to the general public thus building pride and patriotism throughout all of the communities we serve.
The purpose of Buffalo Soldiers-Woods & Wanton Chapter is to educate, preserve, promote, and perpetuate the history, tradition, and outstanding contributions of the Buffalo Soldiers towards the development and defense of America from The Revolutionary War to the present.

Today, the mission of the Buffalo Soldiers is to preserve the legacy, history, and contributions of the historic 9th and 10th Cavalry Regiments, often through educational programming, living history reenactments, and community service. Dedicated groups aim to educate the public, honor the soldiers’ contributions to the American West, and support veterans.
